Poetry for all the family is a small collection of unusual rhymes and poems written during the poet`s year (2001) living in Greece. It reflects his belief that poetry is really about communication, and that modern poetry generally fails in this because it is too often written only for other professional poets. A situation that is not healthy for poetry. The poems here are a mixture of simple rhymes for children about insects and their relatives and a selection of other more typical poems emphasising the poet`s love of life and the natural world. It is the poet`s hope that this small book will mean different things to individual people as they grow and develop and that they will enjoy sharing it with their families.
