Part 2 of Volume 6 contains keys to genera and species in 30 families and additions to further three families of Diptera, e.g. Cecidimyiidae, Culicidae, Tabanidae, Gasterophilidae, Oestridae, Hypodermatidae, Hippoboscidae, Ceratopogonidae, etc. A total of 421 genera and more than 1900 species from the Russian Far East and adjacent parts are treated, with four species described as new to science. Data on the distribution, biology and economic importance as well morphological characters and synonymy lists are given for each species. The book is also provided by a small Russian-English dictionary of the abbreviations and special terms used in the series.
