The treatise Academician Peter Kirai represnts a thorough study on several basic sources of primary historical, linguistic and religious importance. The key point among these sources is "Istinnaya povest` o Kirille i Mefodii" - a translation from Greek of the Serbian Bishoff Dionisii Popovich (1823) on the life story and merits of the Saint Brothers Kirll and Methodii and their followers. The author analyses "Istinnaya povest`" from the viewpoint of the linguistics, internal structure, sources and contents. Another question of key importance amnalysed in the book is the complicated process of christianization of the Bulgarians. The book includes also eight appendices.
