This catalogue and atlas summarise all available data on the distribution and ecology of leaf beetles (Chrysomelidae) in Bulgaria. Species accounts include taxonomic status, synonymy, all known localities in Bulgaria and data on distribution and habitat preferences. Each species distribution is mapped. The book is addressed to taxonomists, collectors, nature conservationsts and biogeographers. Both the authors were born in June 1936, both graduated from the University of Plovdiv in 1966 as biologists, both have been working on the beetle family Chrysomelidae of the Palaearctic and Oriental realms since 1963. Among their publications, 28 are co-signed by both, including the 2-volume monograph "Fauna of Chrysomelidae of Bulgaria". Each of them has described numerous chrysomelid taxa from Europe, Asia and Africa, ranging from the Canaries in the West to China and Korea in the East.
