Focussed on foraminifera, Paleogene shallow Beenthos of the Tethys, 3 contain a second group of contributions to the IGGP 286 program. Among others, there are substantial contributions on the Palaeocene carbonate complexes in the Western Carpathians by E. Koehler and in the Northern Pyrenees by Y. Tambareau et al. The Paleogene sequence of shallow benthic faunas and the associates of shallow benthic species are described from the Adriatic platform by K. Drobne et al. and from Capri (Italy) by F.Barattolo et al., from India by A.K.Jauhri, and from Somalia by J.S.Pignatti. Several key foramineferal taxa for the Shallow Benthic Zonation are described.
