Oral presentations Computer and multimedia facilities will be available at all meeting rooms during the Symposium. The version of MS PowerPoint used in the computers is MS PowerPoint 2000. Slide projectors (35 mm) and overhead projectors also will be at disposal. Oral presentations will be time limited as follows: Posters Posters will be displayed within the halls of the American University in Bulgaria Each poster must be in English. Posters should consist of a heading containing the title, author(s) name(s), institution, address(-es), and text. Posters should be prepared beforehand and brought in person by the participants. Posters must be legible from a distance of at least 2 meters. Headings and subtitles should have the smallest letters in 80-point font (12 mm, capitals 17 mm). In the text smallest letters should be 36-point font (7 mm, capitals 9 mm) with a line thickness of 1 mm. Use colour pictures, graphs and diagrams in preference to tables. Avoid excessive details and keep the number of words to minimum. Use key phrases or points. Posters should have a single, easy to follow message, be readable in a few minutes. The poster panel actual size is 90 cm wide and 120 cm high. Materials for attaching posters will be provided by the organisers. Authors should be around their posters for discussion during the poster sessions. Please fix and remove your posters. Guidelines for abstracts preparation Abstracts should be clearly presented and based on unpublished data. Typing instructions: MS Word 95 or later edition; Paper size: A4; Margins: 2.5 cm (top and bottom) and 2.5 cm (left and right); Font: Times New Roman; Font size: 12 pt for the entire abstract; Space: single line. The abstract must include title, author(s) (underline the presenting author), address and text. Title should be capitalised and bold. Latin names of species and genera should be in italic. Authors should be listed in upper and lower case, with initials before the surnames. Each initial should be followed by a full stop, with no space between initials. Separate authors names with coma, except for the two last names in the list, which are to be separated by and. The address should start in a separate line. Address of presenting author should contain sufficient contact information including e-mail address. The body of the abstract should not exceed 300 words, subheadings, tables, figures or references should not be included. All speakers and Authors of posters are requested to prepare one-page abstract in English to be submitted before the deadline 1.04.2007. No abstract will be finally accepted for printing without registration fee being paid.
